Special
consideration has been given to selection and use of protocols,
measurement methods, and documentation to ensure reliability
and validity of our Medical-Legal products and services.
Documentation is clear and logical using the Canadian Classification
and Dictionary of Occupations (CCDO), the National Occupational
Classification (NOC), the Dictionary of Occupational Titles
(DOT), and/or a client’s actual job as terms of reference
(also see Job Analysis).
This attention to detail results in highly defensible
products, able to withstand the rigors of legal scrutiny.
In addition
to remaining current with contemporary theory and understanding
of injury, Island Assessment Group staff attends Trial Lawyers
Association of British Columbia Conferences (e.g. –
The Essential Soft Tissue Injury Conference, Brain Injury
Litigation 2002: The Essential Conference). As such we are
not only afforded the opportunity to further develop our
understanding of injury, but gain an understanding
of methods and strategies used by trial lawyers to develop
and argue their cases.
